About Me

Hey, my name is Austin Chen. I'm a university student studying Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo. In addition to watching Suits and sleeping at the library, programming is one of my favourite things to do. Beyond school, my favourite hobby is photography. It's a great way to escape the stressful nature of school while still finding ways to challenge myself, just in a creative way instead of an academic way. I draw a lot of inspiration from Brandon Woelfel's work - it's not hard to notice the similarities between my photos and his. There's something special about his use of lighting and colours to create very distinct moods that make his photos jaw dropping.

I think the combination of programming and photography creates the perfect duo for a website. Both disciplines require the application of one's knowledge and skill - whether in an editing application or a programming language - to create a product that others can enjoy.
